Numech are Engineering specialists who deliver dynamic, responsive & flexible services which are customer driven. We deliver a comprehensive service to UK Industry, providing machining, fabrication, pipe work, welding, mechanical fitting, site work, plant installation and maintenance, assembly testing and repair.
We are continuing to develop the scope of our supply to provide an unrivalled and diverse range of services in West Cumbria. We pride ourselves on the ability to deliver to quality critical specifications with speed and accuracy.
We are a Tier 3 supplier to Sellafield Ltd, delivering quality grade 02 products. ISO 9001 :2008 Accreditated
The History
Established by brothers Richard & Geoff Tubman in the 1970’s as Tubros Engineering, the company serviced the West Cumbria Steel Industry for decades. Times have moved on and the last furnace has long been extinguished in Workington but the desire and drive to provide engineering services to the local community and beyond has not, and the company was reformed in 2010 as Nuclear & Mechanical Services Ltd, T/As Numech. Numech hasn’t lost its family business feel as Geoff is now joined by son Richard on the board of Directors.

Numech employs a core in house multi-disciplined team whose key services & skills include: coded welders, pipe fitters, riggers, fabricators, machinists & mechanical fitters. Additionally, we have a team of site based personnel, who support a range of companies throughout the county, working together to achieve joint organisational goals. This area of the business is currently expanding.
